Modular starts exceed 10% for multifamily housing and 12% for hospitality for the first time.

Modular Multifamily Construction has exceeded 10% of the new housing starts nationwide and is closer to 12%-14% in the West and Northwest. For Hospitality nationwide starts alredy exceed 12%.

Developers are increasingly turning to modular due to increasing complexity & cost to build onsite, labor constraints and the greater availability of modular fabricators. Modular is now less expense than site-built in several markets and based on this current trajectory could exceed 50% of all new starts by 2040.
